The Wallace Stegner Initiative: Journalism & the North American West
In 2003, The Wallace Stegner Initiative completed and distributed its report, "Matching the Scenery: Journalism's Duty to the American West", an assessment of the coverage efforts and challenges of the West's 285 daily newspapers. This assessment is a distillation of more than two years of research by a team of independent journalists.
