Institutes for Journalism & Natural Resources (IJNR)
is committed to safeguarding your privacy online. The IJNR
FreshDex database is owned by WW IDEA, Inc. Please refer to
the WW IDEA,
Inc Privacy Policy to understand how your personal information
will be treated as you make full use of IJNR's web-based
database, FreshDex ("Sites").
A Special Note About Children:
Children (persons under the age of 13) are not eligible to
use the Site unsupervised and we ask that children do not submit
any personal information to us. If you are under the age of
13, you may only use this Site in conjunction with and under
the supervision of your parents or guardians.
The Information We Collect:
Voluntary submission:
IJNR does not collect personally identifying information
about any individual Site user except when knowingly provided
by such individual (such as Fellow Applications). Such information
may be maintained at our discretion for an indefinite period
of time.
How We Use the Information:
We never sell, rent, or otherwise share our visitors' personal
information with third parties without permission.
Links to Third-Party Sites:
Links and pointers to third-party sites are provided for
information only and do not constitute endorsement, express
or implied, by IJNR, of the referenced organization, their
suitability, content, products, or services, whether they are
governmental, educational, or commercial.
Content Accuracy, Completeness, and Usability:
IJNR authorized or produced data and information is not in
the public domain and is restricted for use by IJNR staff,
IJNR trustees and IJNR Fellows only. While authorized IJNR
staff have access to all of the information, other staff, trustees
and Fellows have restricted access that allows only for modification
of their personal contact information as well as posting of
appropriate links and messages regarding their own productions.
Copyright:
Some images/graphics are used by IJNR with permission. For
other uses, you may need to obtain permission from the copyright
holder under the copyright law. We will identify material we
use from sources outside of IJNR, and request others do the
same when using information published by WW IDEA, Inc.
Security:
WW IDEA, Inc has put in place appropriate physical, electronic,
and managerial procedures to safeguard and help prevent unauthorized
access, maintain data security, and correctly use the information
we collect online. These safeguards may include encryption, “FIREWALLS” and
Secure Sockets Layers (“SSL”). They treat data
as an asset that must be protected against loss and unauthorized
access and employ many different security techniques to protect
such data from unauthorized access by those inside and outside
the organization. However, “perfect security” does
not exist on the Internet.
To determine if you are in a secure area you should check
for an unbroken or a closed lock on the task bar. You may also
check by looking at the URL line of your browser. When accessing
a secure server, the site address will change from http to
https.
Liability:
IJNR, its employees or contractors do not make any warranty,
express or implied, nor assume any legal liability or responsibility
for the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information,
apparatus, product, or process disclosed on the Site, nor represent
that its use would not infringe on privately owned rights.
How to Opt-in/Opt-out:
It is at IJNR's discretion to determine whom we include
in the IJNR FreshDex database. All Fellows and Institute Speakers
are automatically entered into the IJNR FreshDex database.
Only professional work contact information is available for
viewing to IJNR staff, trustees and Fellows. Fellows may elect
to modify what contact information is shared with this IJNR
community. Persons must directly contact IJNR to opt-out.
